//Foreign Direct Investment

Through our contracts, we facilitate joint ventures between European and African business men and economic operators. Our consultancy consists of giving our clients the financial, economic, socio-political and legal information, needed to facilitate investment in a given country especially in the CEMAC countries which include Central African Republic, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Chad and Cameroon. We provide technical assistance to our clients in the drafting of partnership or co-operation agreements as well as carry out technical and financial studies for the promotion and the realization of the projects through our experts. Our firm was consulted by the Centre for International Trade to draft a model joint venture contract that could be used all over the world. We have developed some expertise in the business of the World Trade Organization (WTO). We are currently working for a certain government, on the legal aspects of the development of trade between the CEMAC countries themselves and Nigeria. To this effect, we have published a brochure entitled « Basic Information for a foreign Investor in the CEMAC zone ». This brochure contains detailed information on the legal framework and the socio-political, economic and financial climate of the zone. It should be recalled that our firm organized in conjunction with the International Lawyers Union, the Cameroon Bar Association and International seminar on “Foreign Investments in Africa” from 29 to 30 May 1998. Presided at by the Prime Minister, this seminar was a resounding success, bringing together some 400 participants including industrialists, business men, politicians, lawyers, top-level civil servants from all four corners of the globe.
